STEAM ENGINE FROM AN AIR COMPRESSOR Solar Engine for Future Tests

This is the engine that was converted from an old special tilt piston air compressor. This is the exact same principal from a certain type of “Air Hogs” plane engine. In the opener the engine was running at 35-50 psi and the second start was around 75-80 psi. Top RPMS so far is 1700 at 110 PSI. The timing still needs some work. Solenoid Valves with a Reed Switch and a Magnet are great ways of testing air/steam engines to perfect the timing. A slide valve will eventually be needed as the solenoid valve is rated at 100000 – 1000000 cycles. This engine would wear it out in a day. The flywheel is wafer board (simple easy but not balanced or perfected). Not shown, top voltage from a permanent magnet motor (tread mill) 21 volts, top load 75 watts. The belt started slipping and the timing was hard to get back to perfect for the load. This engine will run 4 minutes on a full 10 gallon tank of air. The last minute is slow around 500 rpms to 50 rpms.

DIY STIRLING ENGINE Update Air Compressor to Solar Stirling Engine

This is an update on the progress of the Stirling Engine created from a standard air compressor. This hot air engine should finally get some power. The piston rings were removed as the machining of the pistons was very good. There is still good compression. The ring removal decreases friction dramatically and will allow for a good cycle. The Displacer is a Bikini Spray can that I got to fit perfectly. At the end is the ghost of Robert Stirling. Just kidding, think I have been working too hard.

TRUCK LUG WRENCH TORQUE MULTIPLIER NO IMPACT OR COMPRESSOR NEEDED

motors.shop.ebay.com is where to go to buy one of my new torque multiplier lug wrenches for your truck. If you’ve ever had trouble removing stubborn and overtightened lug nuts from your big truck with regular hand wrenches, you will be amazed. It works exactly as show in this video. With a ratio of almost 60:1, it will multiply 40 ft-lbs of power on the crank side into over 2000 ft-lbs of power on the socket side. Maximum capacity is about 3500 ft-lbs of torque..! Most 1″ drive air impacts cannot make this much power. I have yet to find a lug nut on a truck that this tool cannot easily remove. A 10 year old kid can remove lug nuts with this tool that a strong man couldn’t budge with a hand lug wrench. Why spend about 00.00 on a impact, a 2-stage air compressor big enough to run it, air hoses, regulator, and sockets when this tool will do the job just as well? Even better, you can take this anyplace you go. Your big impact and compressor will sure do you a lot of good back at your garage when you’re out on the road someplace with tire problems, right? Just put this torque multiplier in your truck, and have it ready when you need it the most. Since you’re gonna need some sockets, I’ve included 4 of the most commonly used 1″ drive impact sockets on big trucks, RVs, motorhomes, buses, and semis. You get a 21mm (13/16″) 4-pt socket for your rear duals, 33mm (1-5/16), 38mm (1-1/2″), and a 41mm (1-5/8″) socket included with your new tool. That’s about — bucks worth

What causes a carbureted motorcycle to be so hard to start, whenever it is just mildly cool (< 60 deg. F.)?

Whenever it is cooler than 60 or so F., it is very difficult to start without wetting the spark plugs. Other carbureted four-cycle small engines that use the same aspirated carburetion principle (except having 1 for the whole engine instead of 1 per cylinder, for performance reasons) and the same ignition principle (a single-electrode spark plug) on snow blowers, garden tractors, air compressors, generators, etc. that are designed to be routinely used in much colder weather are so easy to start in much colder weather, some without electric starters, and with no starting fluid (ether) sprayed into the intake. Is it because the Japanese have them geared so low that they then have to run at high RPM’s and thus have to have low-temperature-range spark plugs, so that at operating speed in summer weather you don’t start to get detonation, which more-easily damages aluminum pistons vs. the steel ones in small-engine power equipment?

If small-engine power equipment were always this hard to start in just mildly cold temperatures, not many people would buy them.

What do I need to convert a regular air compressor (for power tools) to a power washer?

They seem similar but different. Normally you buy either an air compressor or a power (water) washer. I want to buy an air compressor, just wondering if it can be easily converted into a power washer.

injection moulding – will this work?

I was thinking using a 7 bar compressor line to pressurise a 100cm dia vessel containing molten plastic(using 165deg hot oil jacket for eg :P P material) and using a valve arrangement to discharge the molten plastic inside a mould which is primirarily evacuated using a vacum pump driven by the compressed air itself .
Further addition of resin inside the chamber is acheived by forcing raw material using piston driven by air at higher pressure.

My calculations says there would be a 55Ton of force applied to the plastic inside the vessel. And since the mould is in vaccuum there is no possibility for any air locks.

Will this system work like a normal 50 Ton injection moulding machine ? (or) will it be impracticable a solution ?
