  its all to do with lubrication, 90% of the commercial compressors I’ve had over the years have the crank case down the bottom.

  plus the suction gasses come in through the top and cool the motor easier.

  Great video very good compressor responded with a video of a Bristol Recip replacing a failed scroll. These are very very quite compressors pretty lound with the housing cut open though
