Ingersoll Rand 7100 air compressor compresses air in two stages. It comes with a piston that joins with the crankshaft through a connecting rod. The piston moves forward and backwards when the crankshaft rotates, to convert air into high-pressure air. The crankcase is connected to the crankshaft, whereas the valves are connected to a cylindrical head containing a valve cavity.
Owing to the rotational movement of the crankshaft, the piston of the first cylinder also initiates its reciprocating motion. The piston sucks air through the filter and suction valve during this process. The piston of the low-pressure cylinder compresses the air to an intermediate-pressure air cooler where compressed air is cooled before transferring it to the other cylinder. Finally, the high-pressure air collects through the outlet valve. Has a 2-stage pump for continuous supply of compressed air. Cast iron construction for durability. 10 or 15 HP motor with counter-clockwise rotation at a maximum pumping speed of 800 or 1100 RPM, respectively. Equipped with overhung crankshaft and flywheel for superior balance and vibration damping. 1 inch NPT outlet to deliver air at pressure of 175 PSI. Splash lubricated pump and 2-1/2 qt oil capacity for smooth operation.Easily removable cylinders for effortless repair and reduced downtime.
